Puroast Low Acid Coffee Organic French Roast Whole Bean, 5 Pound Bag

The Puroast story begins while I’m sitting on a Venezuelan coffee farm one morning and I’m served a cup of coffee by my host. The same fellow who grew, roasted and brewed the beans. The taste was unlike any coffee I had ever had. Savory, rich and very smooth. No bitterness. I assumed this great taste was because I was on a coffee farm, like drinking wine in a vineyard. It turns out the secret to this flavor was how heat was used in roasting. I knew then that I wanted to learn how to create a coffee that is pure to the art of roasting. Puroast Coffee. After a long journey, we found the right flavor and Puroast Coffee was born. So my brother and I start selling Puroast in local stores in California, people loved the taste and then we find out there’s a lot more to the story. Mixed in with the compliments about taste, we received comments telling us Puroast Coffee didn’t upset customers’ stomachs or aggravate their heartburn. There were so many of these comments that we decided to find out if there was something different about Puroast which would be a significant benefit. We discovered there was a big difference in Puroast. Not only does our roasting recipe make for a smoother taste, it also greatly reduces the acid in the coffee by more than 70% compared to leading brands. 70% less acid than other coffees! This isn’t just me saying this, it’s Dr. Shibamoto and scientific research team from the University of California/Davis. Dr. Shibamoto found that in reducing acid levels, our roasting process dramatically increased the amount of antioxidants. And by dramatic I mean by 5 times more than other leading coffees and 7 times more than green tea. 7 times more antioxidants than green tea! You will discover what I did on that Venezuelan coffee farm, along with Puroast Coffee’s exquisite flavor, the benefits of lower acid and rich levels of antioxidants will bring you enjoyment like no other coffee you’ve ever had.

Coconut Secret Organic Raw Coconut Nectar Low Glycemic Sweetener – 12 oz

When the coconut tree is tapped, it produces a naturally sweet, nutrient-rich “sap” that exudes from the coconut blossoms. This sap is very low glycemic and contains 17 amino acids, minerals, vitamin C, broad-spectrum B vitamins, and has a nearly neutral pH. Small batches ensure that our pure, low glycemic Nectar, made from this natural sap, is a raw, enzymatically alive product, minimally evaporated at low tempertures (only to remove excess moisture and allow sap to thicken), never exceeding an average summer day in the tropics. Some agave syrups are hydrolyzed at temperatures up to 140 degrees F. for approximately 36 hours, the end product containing 90% fructose, compared to sap nectar which is only 0.5% glucose, 1.5% fructose, 16% sucrose, and 82% inulin The naturally sweet, mild flavor of our Nectar is an ideal sweetener for use on pancakes, over cereal, in tea, smoothies and all your favorite dessert recipes! (Our delicious Coconut Nectar does not have a coconutty flavor)

Viva Labs Organic Coconut Sugar: Non-GMO, Low-Glycemic Sweetener, 6 lbs Bag

What is Coconut Sugar? Unlike table sugar, coconut sugar is unrefined, maintaining all the nutritional elements that are normally destroyed during industrial processing. Derived from the sap of the coconut palm tree, coconut sugar boasts many of the same health-promoting properties as other coconut products. This mineral-rich sweetener is the perfect way to satisfy your sweet tooth with no guilty consequence. Organic Coconut Sugar: A Healthy Sugar Alternative Low-Glycemic: Coconut Sugar is a low-glycemic sweetener that has been shown to support healthy blood sugar balance. A study published by the Food and Nutrition Research Institute compared the glycemic indexes of both coconut sugar and table sugar on a scale of 100, indicating a value of 35 and 60, respectively. Viva Labs Organic Coconut Sugar is a one-to-one ratio with table sugar, helping you to achieve the same sweetness without the corresponding sugar spike. Nutrient-Dense: Because coconut sugar is unrefined, it maintains essential nutrients like calcium, potassium, iron and zinc. A study published by the Food and Nutrition Research Institute indicated that coconut sugar had roughly double of the amount of iron compared to ordinary table sugar in a 100g serving. One tablespoon of our coconut sugar represents 10% of your daily iron intake, based on a 2,000 calorie diet. The Viva Labs Difference To produce Viva Labs’ Organic Coconut Sugar, local farmers “tap” the unopened flowers of coconut palm trees, oozing with sweet coconut nectar. Prior to heating, the sap is poured through a strainer, ensuring all waste matter is removed. Viva Labs processes the sap immediately after collection, obtaining a better quality sugar and sweet flavor. The sap then undergoes a reduction process under heat, evaporating unwanted moisture, leaving you with pure, granulated organic coconut sugar.

The Organic Lawn Care Manual: A Natural, Low-Maintenance System for a Beautiful, Safe Lawn

In the modern suburban landscape, beautiful, green lawns are perhaps the most ubiquitous feature of all. It’s difficult to imagine a friendly neighborhood without broad, clean stretches of neatly shorn grass. More and more in recent years, those lawns are evolving into organic systems as homeowners — concerned about the long-term effects of chemicals on their children, their pets, and the environment — turn to natural methods to keep their yards healthy and inviting, and, yes, still green and lush, too.Paul Tukey, a self-confessed mowing addict, answers the growing demand for organic grass with a comprehensive volume of natural lawncare information. Step by step, he takes readers through the many elements that work together to form a healthy, organic lawn. Well-treated soil, fed properly with compost and natural fertilizers, is the foundation of every great lawn. Plant it with a grass cultivar matched properly to the climate and sunlight, nourish the soil and grass with the proper amount of water, and maintain the height with a good mower equipped with a sharp blade. A beautiful, naturally maintained lawn can be as simple as that.An organic, healthy lawn is the best defense against weeds and pests, but when unwanted visitors creep in, Tukey is ready with Weed and Thug ID Guides and advice on dispatching them naturally or learning to live with the benign offenders. Tukey also provides helpful advice for lawnkeepers making the transition from a synthetic to an organic lawn system. It’s all here — everything today’s homeowner needs to keep his lawn off drugs, and make it an inviting living and play area for the whole family.
