I wasn’t sure what to expect but I really liked the hemp seed oil so I thought I’d give this a try.
I got a 3 pound bag of what looks and feels like small crushed nuts. There are no loose hulls or hard crunchy matter. It’s a large, very clean bag of seeds with a “vibrant green“ flavor. I mean that in the best possible way. The flavor is so mild I could see them being added to anything. Salads, smoothies, yogurt, scrambled eggs, anything. I just now ate a few spoonfuls of them just by themselves.
The Nutiva hemp products I bought (late 2019) have a very potent fresh nutritious green flavor like what you would expect from a product processed in the field as opposed to one that’s been sitting in a warehouse for months. I have been very impressed with both the oil and the shelled seeds. When I eat them it’s like my body immediately recognizes the nutrition in them. It’s a great source of plant protein and omega threes.
