I ordered this because we were going on a long road trip. The variety was great and most of the items were good. The chips, however, were disgusting. They had s very chemical-ly flavor - I had to spit it out. My husband felt the same.
This is an interesting concept, but there are problems. The packets are about one ounce each and cost almost $2 each. Many other brands are much cheaper. The packaging is attractive and the box is sturdy. The quality is good except that the box that I received had almost expired "best by" dates. The potato chips were very rancid, and a few of the other packets had a slight rancid oder, the rest were good. The manufacturer probably is not at fault. They probably sat in a hot Amazon warehouse too long. Grocers rotate their merchandise and get rid of out of date products, but Amazon may not.
Gave as a gift to my sister.. She called me to say she received the Gift Box & wanted to not hurt my feeling but she said she tried some of the products. She told me the box itself smelled moldy & the products she tried she spit out as they tasted so terrible. She is not a finicky person so they items must have been awful.
It was fun to experience the variety of snacks - all things I never would have picked up in the grocery store. However, I had two issues: first, the bags are really small. These bags are more like the little ones made for kids than the kind you would find in a vending machine. So you will get a little taste, but not that satisfying. Also, two of the bags (both Bops) had gone bad. The oil had turned rancid and the flavor was horrible - inedible. Looks like some others had issues with freshness as well.
This bundle included almost everything in the photo. Good variety. I purchased it for my picky daughter to try new things and she gave it two thumbs up.
There are so many families that now have dietary restrictions for one reason or another. I bought this for my son because we eat strictly organic and he thought that he would parish if he eliminated his favorite snacks. This variety of non-GMO snacks are some of the best you can possibly buy. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because of the price for what you are getting. You are better off going to the local organic store or co-op and buying in bulk and bagging them yourself for snacks. The packages are small and will give you only a sample of what is out there that contains nothing artificial (like sweeteners or fillers), no preservatives, colors or pesticides. This is a great introduction to clean eating and it gives you the brands that you want to look for when you are shopping. These are brands that don't ordinarily advertise, so the amount of care and control of the product is a lot better. Beware of Monsanto laced organics or imitators, after tasting this lot, you won't need them.
I bought these snacks as a last minute little extra something for Christmas for my daughter and her family. I was told the POPS brand snacks smelled terrible and both bags were stale. Another brand the bag had expired. The rest my daughter said they liked. I was more disappointed than she was as I was hoping all the contents would have been "good" snacking. Also the description title states gift box...the contents were just in a bag.
