Organic Water Process Decaf

Water, the molecule of life, is the only way to decaffeinate coffee without chemicals. This product is the best value for a very labor intensive and expensive process of decaffeination. Despite the process, drinkers are still provided with the best taste of coffee without the caffeine.

In 1993, Jeremiah’s Pick Coffee started as a coffee roaster dedicated to providing the good quality coffees to supermarkets, restaurants and natural food stores. The goal was to bring gourmet coffee to not only restaurants, but also to the grocery aisle.

A simple concept: “Right Roast. Right Taste.” Starting with the finest green coffee beans, each batch is married carefully to the right color profile to highlight the nuances of each coffee’s origin and character. This is how we evolved into being a premiere Specialty Coffee Roaster.

Product Description

Certified organic by CCOF. Ground fresh. Decaffeinated Swiss water process. 100% Chemical free. After using the Swiss Water process to decaffeinated these bird friendly, high-altitude Arabica, we roast them in the French style. The result is an earthy, round, and satisfying cup. We are certified kosher by Vaad Hakashrus of Northern California.

I have had to cut back, almost entirely, on my caffeine intake. This has been a struggle for someone who grew up in Baltimore in the 80's & 90's, a place which has a locally owned roaster/coffee shop on basically every corner. I was a coffee A-hole, to put it lightly.
I HATED starbucks, and we didn't have any in my particular part of town until after I left my beloved Charm City. (well, all except for the one at the local barnes & noble) Anyway, I have tried everything, but nothing was giving me that nutty delicious scent and taste that I missed so much. I have tried different teas, roasted ramon nuts (which are funny scented [almost chemical] and can only be consumed with a teaspoon [at least] of regular flavored coffee) and other decafs that have been decaffeinated the chemical way. I have to say, most of these options are nauseating. This delightful kosher coffee is the closest to caffeine free I can get while not sacrificing flavor. I love it. And yes, this specific decaf blend is the ONLY ONE Jeremiah's Pick makes with the swiss water process. They do have other decafs, but this is the only chemical free one. So, this is why it tastes so sublime.

I love this coffee! Can't understand anyone saying it is weak. I've actually put just a bit less in my Keurig when making a cup. I switched to this coffee for a couple of reasons, i.e., it's organic and it is water processed decaf. Another reason is that I learned that all decafs are not the same. There is more caffeine in some, than others. This one does not affect me, heathwise (fast heartbeat). I wish they had some flavored decafs, but I am enjoying it as is. I do put a little Stevia in this coffee because I find it is a bit more robust than I'm used to. It actually tastes very smooth, however, which is different from other coffees I've had. I highly recommend this coffee.

Over 3 months ago I had to give up drinking regular coffee due to it causing anxiety, dizziness, migraines and panic attacks. I have always been a coffee snob, using only the best organic bean I could find from a specialty market. It was a very hard adjustment giving up that morning cup of coffee, like a friend died or something. In the end it was worth it because I haven't had one migraine or panic attack since then.

A few weeks ago, I decided that three months was long enough, and morning tea just wasn't the same, so I wanted to give decaf a go. Today I planned to try organic, water processed decaf by Jeremiah's Pick Coffee. I read a few of the reviews first, and decided to make it extra strong so that I wouldn't be disappointed. Used a regular coffee pot. Added some cream only. Delicious! Very good! Next time I will make it with a little less beans.

I almost exclusively only buy Jeremiah’s because I love the taste and aroma so much. It’s one of the few coffees that don’t give me a headache. And my nearby grocery store stopped carrying it, so it’s been a struggle getting it. The minute I opened the bag, it smelled very different than the usual bag of Jeremiah’s. I brewed it and it taste very different too. Not sure if it’s because the expiration date is so close (March) or what, but the flavor is way off to me. My daughter had a cup and also said that it didn’t taste like Jeremiah’s to her either. Unfortunately, it’s wasted money because it was a 3-pack and I’m throwing it out. I will buy direct moving forward. Disappointed.

With Subscribe & Save, I get this shipped to my own every few months for about $6.00 a bag. That is MUCH less than buying in stores, and this product has the added feature of being both organically grown coffee and decaffeinated using the Swiss Process which means no wierd chemical bath to remove the caffeine. We love the dark roast and find this a great complement to our regular coffee. Just be aware this is only a 10oz bag so will go a little quicker than the normal grocery size bags (16oz).

Coffee is great, but I ordered a 3 pack, received Decaff and it it NON-returnable. There went almost $36. What's worse, re-ordered what I thought was caffeinated - got DECAFF, again. Was going to be a gift. Failed twice. (Is the universe trying to tell me to go decaff?) I am bummed. Spent $70+ and still no caffeinated coffee. Still no gift for my friend. I will NOT order again.

I do wish they would say on the bad whether this coffee is shade-grown, because a lot of organic coffee isn't. That is my only complaint though. This coffee is pretty smooth and full-bodied for a plain old dark roast. I use ground coffee exclusively for the cold water method so I appreciate the boldness. There is a certain lack of fruity flavors like raisins or dried blackcurrants that you might expect from darker roasts, but I think the decaffeinating process is more responsible for this than the roast. This coffee certainly suits me for my daily cups.
