For the past 20 years, Newman's Own Organics has been offering Great Tasting Products That Happen to Be Organic. You can feel good about having our pretzels as a snack as they contain no hydrogenated oils or trans fatty acids. Our organic crisp, hearty pretzels offer great flavor without the use of artificial flavors, colors or preservatives common in conventional pretzels. Through the sale of it's products, Newman's Own Organics generates money for the Newman's Own Foundation to donate to a wide variety of charitable organizations.

About the Brand

Newman's Own is a food company that was founded by Paul Newman in 1982. The company makes all-natural salad dressing, pasta sauce, salsa, lemonade and steak sauce.

Newman's Own Organics was founded in 1993 by Paul Newman's daughter, Nell Newman, as a division of Newman's Own. It became a separate company in late 2001. Their motto is "Great Tasting Food That Happens to Be Organic." Their products include organic pretzels, cookies, popcorn, chocolate bars, peppermint cups, peanut butter cups, olive oil and vinegar, dried fruit, fair trade coffee and pet food. Recently, Newman's Own Organics launched a line of fresh produce that includes organic lettuce mixes, baby spinach and carrots.

Newman's Own Organics follows in the charitable tradition established by Paul Newman, and all its profits are donated to charitable and educational causes.

Too Thick for a Pretzel
The pretzel is this and I like the thin stick pretzels. This is practically like a cracker. I took a picture of one of the thin pretzels I like next to one of the Newman’s pretzels. Definitely not what I wanted. They might be what you are looking for though?

    A pretzel is a pretzel right? Wrong. I was amazed at how these really taste better than any I have had before. I think these are the best tasting pretzel rods you can get in a supermarket or here on amazon.

    The malt really makes a difference in the flavor.

    The diameter is perfect for dipping in mustard or eating plain, not too thin and not too thick.

    They have an even and sufficient coating of salt.

    They arrived undamaged and very fresh with high crunch factor, not at all stale.

    Mine were not burned like others have experienced with their orders.

    I have 12 bags and am happy to keep a supply in the pantry to put out for guests when they drop by; it makes it very easy to serve good food at a good price by buying in bulk on amazon.

    I enjoy the Newman's Own Pretzels on a regular basis and decided to start buying them by the case as my local grocery store stopped carrying them. The first two cases I bought from a different distributor were fine, however in the last case I purchased from Amazon, all the pretzels tasted stale, although the bags weren't out of expiration and didn't appear to be opened. I was very disappointed with this batch.

    I've been hooked on these ever since my boyfriend introduced me to them. They are the perfect solutions to my salty/crunchy cravings without being too unhealthy. I like the ingredients, they are packaged well, and I've never gotten a stale batch. I highly recommend them. Keep an eye on the price though - these tend to fluctuate significantly depending on who is offering them.

    I don't know about you, but when I see the word "organic" in the title of a product, I prepare myself for the worst. However, not only are these pretzels tasty, but they have just the right crunch for me as well. The added fiber is a bonus.

    For those other reviewers that thought the flavor was too salty, I think it may be a matter of taste. I found the saltiness just right. I don't use a lot of salt, only occasionally, and to me the saltiness of these pretzels was just right.
