So You Wanna Eat Some Seaweed? But WHY? Like many of us, you have most probably enjoyed seaweed wrapped around a sushi roll, but few Westerners would consider picking up a bag of the stuff at the grocery store.
Let's face it, you're probably NOT going to be ordering a McSeaweed sandwich with a side of fries anytime soon... with its strong, smoky flavour, you're hardly likely to binge on the stuff, either.
But it goes well with sushi, tofu, miso soup, salads, vegetable stews, stir-fries, and plates of greens. It's probably the synergistic effects of all those healthy ingredients that keep Japanese women slim and the Okinawans living past 100, as well as giving people on macrobiotic diets (of which seaweed is a staple) lustrous hair and glowing complexions.
So Grab your Woks, Wasabi, Soups and Salad Bowls...These recipes are Rated Easy, COMPLETE with Full Ingredient Lists and Super Simple Instructions. The only thing that could Possibly make these Natural Asian Vegetarian Recipes any Better would be a long night of karaoke with a side of sake... maybe!!

- Reviewed in the United States on April 17, 2015Practical and very informative. I feel like an authority on seaweed and couldn't wait to order some of my own and try recipes for beauty and cooking. Research and facts are well documented and the book is a fast read on top of it.This book seems just about right-packed with interesting and useful information about seaweeeds and their nutritive value and value in spas and also inclusive of some good, sensible and easy enough to prepare recipes
- Reviewed in the United States on January 21, 2015Do not advertise a book as vegetarian that has recipes with beef, pork and other meats. I gave it two because it does have some vegetarian recipes but it was advertized as something it was not.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 19, 2015Seaweed isnt just for sushi anymore! This book gave me more ideas to apply this healthy protist into my diet. I love it, my daughter loves it, the whole family loves it. Well written and easy to follow ideas. Seaweed soup, yes please!
- Reviewed in the United States on January 23, 2015I never thought I would love seaweed as much as I have since reading this book! Filled with wonderful, delicious recipes you will never get bored with food again.
This cookbook starts by explaining the importance of seaweed, its health benefits and the 3 types available (which i didn't know about to be honest). Everything written is done in a very simple and concise way so that it is easy to understand but full of information. I hadn't realised there were so many recipes with seaweed or that they could taste so good! My favourites are: Black sesame and nori stir-fried brown rice, Watercress and seaweed soup and the Buckwheat bread with seaweed. Definitely a must try!
Fantastic for anyone with a taste for Asian food, I really recommend this book, you won't be disappointed! :)

4.0 out of 5 stars Seaweed is definitely worth trying.
I have been reading so many health books lately but I have never read a seaweed book before. And I actually enjoyed reading this one. Like some other people I never tried seaweed before and I never intended to until my curiosity lead me to this book. And I must admit I was pleasantly surprised. And If I hadn't read this book I probably would have missed out on this yummy thing. I would highly recommend you try it. You wont be disappointed with this book because I believe the writer have done a decent a job.

4.0 out of 5 stars Healthy Recipes!
I have ate so much fast food in the last 2 weeks that I can't stand to look at it anymore. I just have been so busy to actually cook something nice and healthy. The title of this book got my attention, I haven't actually tried seaweed before so I look forward to trying it. This book has some great new recipes which look great and are also healthy. The author did a good job at explaining them.
